Process

How a shop website project works

Five stages, each with something for you to approve, planned around the season and event dates you give us.

1. Brief and quote

You tell us what you sell, how customers order or reserve now, and any dates coming up, such as a launch or a trunk show. We reply with questions or a written quote listing the pages, what we need from you and a target launch date. Nothing starts until you accept it.

2. Site map

We draw your site as a rail, like the concepts on the samples page: every page in order, with what it's for. This is the cheapest point to add a page, merge two or drop one.

3. Design

We design the home page and one lookbook or event page with your logo, colors, type and photos, on desktop and on a phone. You mark up what you'd change, and we revise before building the rest.

4. Build and test

We build the full site on a private preview address and set up the templates for lookbooks, events and announcements. Then we test every form, map link, calendar file and hours display on a phone and a computer. You get the preview link to try it yourself and send a test RSVP or two.

5. Launch and handover

We connect your domain, set up redirects if we're replacing an older site, and confirm that every form reaches the right inbox. You get the logins and a short guide to adding a lookbook, an event and holiday hours.

Working to a date

Retail runs on dates: a season drop, a trunk show weekend, the holidays. If yours is close, say so in the brief. We can plan a smaller first launch with the home page, the event and the pickup details, then add the lookbook and the rest after.
